Research and development
Year upon year, together with its customers, Heraeus Sensor Technology develops a large number of new products which are specially tailored to application-orientated problems. The most recent examples are the HL 222 chip which measures with 1% precision the temperature in hotplates up to 750°C or the range of DBS sensors whose connection technology substantially reduces costs in the production and further processing of wired sensors.
The R&D department at Heraeus Sensor Technology reacts in a flexible way to the respective problems presented by customers. In this regard this does not just involve new developments in the form of products. All the manufacturing processes at Heraeus Sensor Technology are specifically developed so far that they run with stability, quickly, cost-effectively and orientated to the customer. A finely structured monitoring system with clearly defined parameters renders the quality of all procedures transparent and forms the basis of continual improvement. This procedure is especially valued by the customers of Heraeus Sensor Technology.
Inspection and testing are defined in close co-operation. A large number of tests can be carried out directly by Heraeus Sensor Technology. Additional requirements can be fulfilled by making use of the competence and extensive facilities of the other divisions within the Heraeus Group.
